"Everything about Thornicroft exceeded our expectations. The lodge is beautiful and extremely well maintained, the staff are so friendly and can’t do enough to make sure that you have everything you want and need, the food was delicious, everything freshly prepared around your dietary preferences, and the guides who do the Safari guides are world class!! We were here in the wet season and our game drives were incredible with lion encounters we will remember forever. South laungwa is a truly magical place and the manage and staff have managed to enhance the experience!!"

"The place was beyond my expectations I went on a solo trip thinking I would be bored . But know I felt like I was home . The chalets are beautiful 😍. The customer service was top notch , the manager, everyone one was so welcoming . The safari ride were so nice . Boyd was such a cool guide . Next time I am definitely bringing my whole family . The food too was nice I just got tired of eating."

"A great relaxing interlude, within life's stressful and hectic pace. My husband and I had a great time at Thornicroft Lodge, we went on the Christmas Special as we just wanted a lot of time to relax. Our chalet, Giraffe, was spacious with a large bathroom. The best shower ever! strong pressure and endless hot water. Comfortable bed with luxurious linen, and very soft fluffy pillows. I really liked the fact that I had a kettle in the room as I am a coffee addict. I cannot stress enough how cheerful, friendly and helpful all the staff were; they even went out of their way to help with unorthodox requests. We were really given V.I.P. treatment. The food was great, a bit too much for my husband and myself, I feel as if I have gained 5 kilos in just four days! We went on two game drives through the National Park and our guide was extremely knowledgeable about everything, from the history of certain areas, to the fauna and flora; we were able to take some fantastic photos of the various animals we saw. Thornicroft has a very unusual splash pool as it is in the shape of Zambia, so my husband and I had great fun trying to figure out where neighboring countries would be situated. All in all, we had a very relaxing time and were sorry to leave. We would definitely go back again in the future."

" Unique as the Luangwa Excellent welcome, service, accommodation and best of all was the food!! Comfortable vehicles for game viewing and brilliant guides who made the experience as unique as the Luangwa! Location on the river and views are beautiful!"
