"A great relaxing interlude, within life's stressful and hectic pace. My husband and I had a great time at Thornicroft Lodge, we went on the Christmas Special as we just wanted a lot of time to relax. Our chalet, Giraffe, was spacious with a large bathroom. The best shower ever! strong pressure and endless hot water. Comfortable bed with luxurious linen, and very soft fluffy pillows. I really liked the fact that I had a kettle in the room as I am a coffee addict. I cannot stress enough how cheerful, friendly and helpful all the staff were; they even went out of their way to help with unorthodox requests. We were really given V.I.P. treatment. The food was great, a bit too much for my husband and myself, I feel as if I have gained 5 kilos in just four days! We went on two game drives through the National Park and our guide was extremely knowledgeable about everything, from the history of certain areas, to the fauna and flora; we were able to take some fantastic photos of the various animals we saw. Thornicroft has a very unusual splash pool as it is in the shape of Zambia, so my husband and I had great fun trying to figure out where neighboring countries would be situated. All in all, we had a very relaxing time and were sorry to leave. We would definitely go back again in the future."
